Subject: RE: Liberty Herbicide

I'm with Dave. 1/2 rate any grass killer down. Conventional tillage. Started adding 1 oz. Callisto year or two ago, replacing the atrazine.
Try to spray on sunny days, or at least have some sunshine in forecast. Quit 2 hours before sundown-only failure I ever had was the one tank I sprayed at dusk-no one had told me yet. Read it on the label today. Used to kill weeds at 20 ozs., now they want 28-32 oz./acre. Was explained to me that the custom guys can't pick their days to spray-gotta just go do it-so they raised rates to compensate and eliminate failures. Was a lot of Liberty used in our area over the years-wooly cupgrass-but the advent of round-up is changing things. Bruce
