Subject: Re: Acetochlor or Metolachlor

Martinsville, Ohio

I always preferred acetochlor over metalochlor as it is a little stronger on my grass weeds. Both are good and work for people. If you have more grass like me I would prefer acetochlor but if you have more broadleaf problems the metalochlor might work better for you.

Since Corvus came out I prefer the new HPPD chemistry as it was time for rotation for me. I plan to use Corvus followed by Capreno this year to control my season long grass problem.

I have to use full rates but used to get by with half or reduced rates.  I am non GMO so I am not using glyphosate but Capreno.

5.6 ounces of Corvus was a little much for my soils so I think 4 ounces of Corvus and 2 ounces of Capreno will do a lot better job for me, or whatever similar rate I decide to use.
