Matts, do you have snails in your lakes /ponds/streams ? I used to collect 20-50 live snails to put in each cattle tank to eat the alge. These little creatures would reproduce at a terriffic rate until they had eaten all the alge. Enough would remain to keep the tanks clean all summer.
If you can keep the tank wagon out of direct sunlight the alge will not grow in it.
