Keep in mind that not all of us live in God's country where you have great spring weather, there are tons of VT tools around here because more often than not we have wet springs and can't wait long enough for the ground to dry out enough for conventional tillage tools.  I bet 80% of the ground we have worked with our To The Max harrow was wet enough that there was no way a field cultivator would have ran.
