Chad, I forget if you are messing with a laptop or desktop. On a laptop you are going to have to either do that or get an external case and put the old hard drive in it I vote for that choice by the way. I haven't looked at them for some time but a quick search at Tiger Direct (I am not recommending them, just can negotiate their site easily) shows external HD enclosures starting around $20 and going up. (the one in the picture above was priced at $19.99) If you replace a working hard drive NEVER get rid of it. Make it so you can go back and get the info you forgot to take off it. I did that years ago with a Windows 95 machine when it cost a lot more to do. Still have it in a box someplace.
