Red River Valley | Jon I do not question that there is a very bad drought and it is well know by the market but the question is will they ( the Market ) push prices higher to get the farmer to sell or will they just buy from other countries that are offering cheaper wheat.
This year the US has had crop failures in Wheat, Corn and Cotton, and the bean crop has been dinged yet the prices have not been able to get to levels that everybody "knew " they would.
The question one needs to answer is what happened -- the answer is the world has found other markets in which to buy these things.
that is how commodity cycles work | |
