I'll ditto the thought on non RR corn. We no-till corn and if we're careful with our pre-emerge program we don't need to go back in with glyphosate in-season.
If you have a way to get a clover planted inexpensively before your corn you can save some money on N.
You're looking at the right things. Seed and N are the big costs.
