So would the 9% sales tax include farm inputs? I would not want to pay 9% tax on all the seed and fert and fuel. It would then not matter if you had a bad crop and lost money for the year, you paid at least the 9 % sales tax up front? How would depreciation of equipment be done, or is that out with the old tax code? And state and local sales tax would still be around, so add that to the 9% sales tax. In a normal year, I think it would be a very large increase in total tax for farmers.
