North Central Ohio, across the Corn belt !

Ed Winkle - 10/11/2011 19:32 John, gypsum's best quality is moving air and water through soil profile in notill applications, half ton a year or ton every two years. I would not say it would be a waste of money or peeing in the ocean in this application. Ed Winkle

Ed, please go back and read the post that I responded too.

Pelitized gypsum at 200 lbs an acre rate ( the rate spoken of )  is as much the same as  wasting the farmers $$$$ as is the application of 200 lbs of pelitized  Lime per acre rate.

and I will stand by that Ed.

a half ton of calcium Sulfate, as YOU Now speak of. NOT the Poster we were responding too. can do some good on certain and specific soils.

I assure you Ed,   Gypsum will  NOT be beneficial on ALL soils. No Till or NOT.  regardless of the Rate.
