Middle TN | Are the "better than expected" yields coming in from corn that went in on time and beat the pollination heat and dry weather? Is the later planted corn going to come in with "expected" yields?
FWIW, our little dab came in worse than expected. I'm not complaining as it was a good crop for our area and was above average, but after having perfect pollination weather and plenty of moisture during grain fill, I was thinking it would be a little better. We had one field go 100 while another made over 200. Average was about 150. Normal is between there and 100. | |
