Southwest Missouri
I was talking with my vet friend this week. He is a very sharp guy. He truly has forgot more about cattle than I know. He said that as the soybean plant matures it changes from cellulose to lignin (sp?). He said you might as well feed your cows a pile of sawdust. A hay test can determine if the soybean plant is too mature to be good for hay. If the leaves are still green then there is probably no problem. If you have run it through your combine harvesting the bean, then I do not think it is worth feeding.
