Folks, Trying to automate our grain system (big pit, slow auger). Looking to find a spring-loaded paddle-type switch that flips down when grain flows past it - thinking to install it in the auger spout. Currently using pressure-diaphragm switch in pit ... functional, but subject to water damage/wet corn problems/build-up over the harvest season. Also using timers for cross-augers, but not very robust in case of malfunction. Had no luck with paddle switch at the local coop. A recent post in MachineryTalk references a BinMaster switch which operates on a gravity/tilt principle, but doesn't appear to come with a paddle arrangement and looks to cost big $$ for a simple contact switch. We were hoping some of the folks here running automated feeding systems might be able to point us towards a source/manufacturer, or have some other novel ideas. Thanks! |
