Every manufacturer I am aware of has the software updates for their equipment available online.  All that has to be done is to download them and upload them into the receiver.  This is not nearly as difficult as you make it out to be. 

And I've known it was coming since sometime last winter.  Didn't know the exact date. 

And I'm just an end user.  I sell nothing and only service what I own.
