Subject: feeding grain to hutch calves

SW NE

We recently added 40 calf hutches to our existing 40 hutches and are looking for some feeding efficiency ideas.  This post has to do primarily with feeding grain to the calves.  Once the calves are really eating grain well, it takes quite a bit of time using 5 gallon buckets to feed them all.  We have talked of having a "bin" attached to the skid loader that could be lifted in the air where the grain could gravity flow down a flexible tube into the grain buckets inside the hutches.  How do some of you that feed a large number of hutch calves, feed grain efficiently and quickly?
