N. IL | Get in in shape this fall. Size and incorporate the residue and get in worked dry and early to help with residue breakdown and allow rains to mellow the clods from tillage. If black loamy soils, may want to run a disk over it to level a bit so that you can hit it once in the spring to avoid compaction. You know your area and soils better than any of us, just make this field a priority this fall for better success next spring. | |
