NW Ohio
I would agree with you in several cases. The last two years I have put out a test plot featuring FC, Agrigold, and Pioneer. Both years my check hybrid has won the plot. Both years my check hybrid was my refuge corn. Put up against Triple stack Vt3, Smart stax, Herculex extra. I planted about 30% conventional corn this year simple because the Vt3 have to beat it by 15 bu. just to make up the seed cost. I don't beleive it will happen. It never has before. I will continue to plant some trait hybrids but farmers around here are making a BIG shift back to conventional corn. I'm not saying traits are bad they just aren't always neccessary. When you can buy conv. corn @ $100 or less why pay $250 a bag for something you don't need. Why buy a lexus when a chevy will do the job.
