SC Kansas | We recently took over 120 acres of ground on the same section as my dads place. The OM on our ground is in the 2.5 range. We've done full tillage for 80+ years on that ground, and only recently have done some min-till. The rented ground, on the same section, has been 100% no-till for 11 years. I expected the OM to be at least the same, if not more. I was shocked to see that the OM was 1.2-2% when we got the soil sample. I know it's a representative sample, we expect to grid sample it, but any comments on why this would be?
