NC Indiana
No, I was thinking of a field over towards Mentone/Talma. Yeah, I did add some Presto to my r-up pass as well, but most don't know what I'm talking about so I tend to not include that info. The dc bean beside this patch is about 30" tall and setting/filling pods. My line of thinking was I would have a better chance of getting a silage crop than good dc beans in this part of the world. I would then have the income from the wheat crop to pay the bill and the corn silage to feed the cattle instead of chopping a single corn crop to feed the cattle or sell the corn grain and buy feed back. I also planted a forage cocktail on other areas of this field - areas that do not receive as much water as these areas - and we took 6 big sq's/ac off w/ the first cutting. Lots of vehicles creaping by, some stop and ask questions. Seed bean dealer told me I was nuts, but I'm thinking the corn will make me more money in the end vs his beans.

We'll see. Safe harvest to you as well!
