Near-north Ontario, French River | Do no refrigerate them, tomato's keep best at room temperature. Putting them in a shaded area may help a bit , you don't want to put them in any sort of sealed container though as as they ripem they naturally give off ethalene ( I think that's the proper name)gas. As they emit this gas it will cause surrounding fruit to ripen quicker as well. |
