central - east central Minnesota - | SDSunflower - 9/5/2011 21:18 Next spring we are planning to landscape around our home. We will be putting in sidewalks, new lawn and low maintenance plants. My problem is our driveway in an L shape, so when we bring cattle home from pastures or send them out to pasture, they take the shortest distance between two points and that is right across my lawn. I don't want to go to the trouble of a new lawn and then have hoof prints all over it. I don't want to fence it in because it feels claustrophobic. Is there some sort of landscaping I can do instead that would keep the cattle on the driveway? I doubt it or can't think of anything besides concrete . . . . Maybe native grasses and flowers in the area the cattle will drive - or consider trailering the cattle ? |
