Just finished prepping ground for an area sod farmer so I could start any day now. Moisture (and yield) is really inconsistent this year in the same field. It's going to be interesting.


Edit: Checked moisture this evening and it was anywhere from 25% to 18%. The holdup is based on how much the local elevators charge to dry corn. They are still using a 3% per point per price of a bushel of corn. There's a big difference in the discounts off of a $4 bushel compared to an $8 bushel at those rates.
