Subject: RE: Land Leveling question

SE IL

This is what I consider a land leveler. It will cut and fill whatever general grade is existing.

P-30 Land Leveler

To put land on grade you need this. I call it a pan or scraper. It can be hooked in tandem with another if large amounts need to be moved. It is generally controlled with a laser or GPS RTK with appropriate controllers.

I think it depends on what your situation is. If you have large potholes then the latter is the solution. If you have ground that has been cleared and there are small pockets that hold water then the former will be quicker and cheaper. The leveler can also be controlled with laser or GPS but is designed to move smaller quantities of dirt.

There is also what I call a land plane. It has shorter blades than the leveler and is designed to move even smaller quantities of dirt. I can't find an image right now.
