West Ky | Back in 07 when everybody was proclaiming about how everyone should have plenty of money because of those high crop prices and no one should gripe. etc etc.. well we had 5 bu beans that year due to drought and we no-till. The worked ground beans in the bottom didn't even come up. Corn was a distaster also. We have had huge dry spells in every year now for at least 10 years. It is the norm to go a month and a half without a rain then you get an inch then go anther month or more with no rain. In 07 we got 1.7" between the April freeze and Sep 9. Along with temps hovering close to 108 for most of the summer. Ya it sucked. | |
