I planted some oats, radishes and peas at about 27# and used the #9 setting. However, I planted at that setting with the little flaps under the feed cups all the way up. I think I cracked a good portion of the peas as Iam not seeing as many come up as I think I should. So I would recommend lowering it to the 2nd notch. Then you will likely have to go to setting 7 or 8, I would guess.
