| I just got home from Glacier National Park driving across MT on 2, south on 85 in western ND and SE across SD to MN to LeSueur and south to home. Wheat farmers in MT are having problems with light weights, corn in western SD looked curled and looked like it had poor emergence. Got better as I drove east past Pierre. Eastern SD looked good from the road on the average but there were dying spots on the field edges and sometimes in the fields like SDS spots in beans. Saw much the same through MN and IA. Field edges that were green to the ground with spots of corn firing below the ear and small spots with brown leaves all the way to the top. Some fields had brown shucks all along the edges, some not. The good corn has time to ripen and dry, some is drying already.
Saw what looked like SDS in bean fields just starting in MN, getting more frequency near Jewell IA.
