Subject: knifing in liquid dairy manure on alfalfa question?

Manitoba
Anyone done this before. I have a couple fields that next year will probably be taken out of production after 1st cut next year. I was thinking of having our dairy manure knifed in with a drag hose setup in the next couple weeks. We just took 3rd cut off and there will be no 4th. Can't surface apply / neighbor issues, we are just outside city, lots of neigbors, all non ag. Wondering if we will hurt the alfalfa going this route or if it will be ok, also if anyone has any experience with this any rate suggestions / liimits?

TIA, martin
