That's the way to do it. If you are closer to Kansas it will be a milo plate, closer to Michigan, maybe a sugar beet plate, can make either one work but what you did is ideal. Probably can order either plate, just tell them seed size and what you are doing. Half rate sprockets for planters and drill really help slow it down and dial it in.
