South Plains of Texas | Don't grow Delta Pine but grow a lot of Fibermax. I have been doing this for years so for what it's worth. I don't worry about how many bolls are open. When I start seeing open bolls I start cutting the bolls on top. When the very top boll is mature which to me means the seed is mature and has no jelly in it when you cut thru the boll I spray. I usually use a quart of Prep and whatever for the dessicant. I've sprayed fields that are less than 25% open lots of times and it works like a charm. | |
