Subject: WARNING

south east mn
My dad is a part owner of a golf course here in south eastern mn and said they used this product and it worked great. Course looks better than it ever has. BUT now they have 27 dead pine trees that were very mature varying in height of 20 to 40 feet tall. Supposedly Dupont is going to pay to replace the trees.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The Minnesota Department of Agriculture is advising homeowners not to compost grass clippings from lawns treated with Imprelis herbicide from DuPont or use the clippings as mulch around trees and gardens.

The department and officials in other states began receiving reports in June liking the use of the herbicide with damage to coniferous tress, particularly some species of pine and spruce.

The Environmental Protection Agency ordered DuPont to stop selling and distributing the herbicide a week after the company voluntarily suspended its sale on Aug. 4. The company plans a refund program.

At least five lawsuits have been filed in Minnesota over the herbicide.

Imprelis was primarily used by lawn care companies for controlling broadleaf weeds.
