Also, one of the big reasons for twin rows or 30" rows is to increase ground cover and put more plants per acre particularly on historical peanut acreage because the longer peanuts have been on the ground and the shorter the rotation the plants just don't grow as big. If you are on new peanut ground single 36/38" rows will do as well as twins or 30s.
