Subject: Corn yield with different placements of N...

EC MN - Hour North of 'The Cities'
I was wondering if there is any data out there on how corn yields differ between various placements of Nitrogen.

Examples:

Broadcast

Mid row band on 30 in spacing

Skip row band on 60 in spacing

Banded near or under the seed

Thinking about placing Urea in a strip prior to corn planting, but placing it on both sides of where the seed will be planted to avoid over concentration of N.

Urea would be incorporated into the strip on the edges so it won't be as concentrated as a band, which would hopefully be safer for the seed to germinate.

Thanks,

Lance
