I agree, but I wouldn't lie to the DNR if stopped. I would have the owner send you a bill of sale if you don't have one. Our courthouse is pretty good at letting something signed in the wrong box slip through--maybe find a different "girl" at the counter???
The perils of buying something in another state, I guess......
