Penn Yan, NY | I have been offered a 600 acre farm possibly for rent, fields around 20-40 acres on average and a little wet. This farm is near another one that is about the same size that may be available in a few years, and another one about 5 miles away in the 200 acres range. Only problem is that this area is about 40 miles from my home farm.
Where I am its unusual to have a chance at more than 30-70 acres in a block so this is a very interesting chance.
Anyone else running a widely split farm like this? Any thoughts or things I should think about?
