how's the PH ? a week ago our pool started to get cloudy, and the PH was high. after adding a gallon of muratic acid to it the pool cleared right up( holds ~12000 gal) we had this happen a few years ago and the pool place is who sold us the acid and said how much to use. this lowers the PH pretty quick and has been fine since.
