We dig them a lot later here in Sask. Usually try to leave mine in the ground til just before danger of frost. October if lucky. They stored in a cool dark room in the basement they will last a long time. In fact I still have usable potatos in the basement from last fall now but I think I will be clearing them out since the new ones are producing already.
