Subject: how hard is it to no till into oat ground?

near dyersville iowa
I have a couple hay fields i want to spray and kill this fall. Ive never done that before, mainly because if i kill the alfalfa in the fall i can get erosion problems. Thinking of killing the alfalfa this year and planting oats and maybe radishes as cover. My question is..is no tilling into dead oat stubble hard to do? Or will it be like alfalfa killed in the fall...crop following will be corn.
