Corn will survive better with high humidity than with low humidity, (just ask the guys in Texas). Low humidity causes the plant to transpire more to stay cool. I have seen plants look like they are dehydrated after a day of 100 degree temps and 15% humidity. Not so much of a problem with higher humidity.
