Amherst WI | Thats Milwaukee for you, they are beyond broke but always seem to find ways to skwander money away. They really go through it when it is a federal "grant". Right now they are in the beginning stages of getting a street car like San Fransico. It is going to cost the telephone company 10 million per block to reroute the telephone cables under it, and this thing goes for only 2 miles. Then add the sewer, water and power lines to that as well. The street car project just by itself is going to cost $64.6 Million and you need to add the maintence costs on to it as well. All this from a city that has to dump raw sewage into lake Michigan every time they get a 3/4" gully washer since their sewer system is tied in with their storm sewers. Maybe they should work on that? No, thats not cool and hip. | |
