Ya and its starting to seem like a bad year to buy into all the "7 dollars an acre extra" gimics that the snake oil guys were pushing so hard in "good corn country" this year.

What besides the snake oil/coop cure-alls makes your input cost so high?


Rough Corn inputs off of the top of my head.

120 seed
150 fertilizer
30 fuel
20 chemical
50 machinery
15 crop insurance
Drying? Probably none this year.

Thats 385 with no land costs. No labor.
