MN | We had a pit bull/ german shorthair(we think) cross for many years. Finally died two winters ago. Was one of the best farm dogs we have ever had. Gentle with people, warned us of someone in the yard. When it wanted to, it could be very, very mean. It had 2 coons cornered in the garage once. By the time I ran in the house and got the .22 (30) seconds, both were dead.
Now we have border collies. I stepped outside yesterday and the dumb dogs were standing within 100 feet of a buck and not doing anything about it. People keep telling me they're smart. I'm not convinced yet. They are good with the kids, other than always trying to herd them around. | |
