ECIL | One good guide is to see if it is a gold, silver, or platinum award winning hotel. Those are pretty decent. I have stayed in a couple nondescript places run by mideasterners. You know it's bad when you check the sheets and find them to be dingy and greasy feeling. OTOH, there is a local convenient store and a local gas station run by mideasterners that are clean and well kept. I don't mind them trying to make a go of it, as long as they are willing to put in the effort necessary to make the establishment clean, neat, reasonably priced, and corners aren't cut. | |
