Subject: Drought failed corn

4 to 5 feet tall, brown, burned up corn. Notilling and wanting to keep my residue. Tried a 15 ft rotary mower today. 6 inch stubble looked decent. Lower than that bunched the residue. We have not used a stalk chopper and have not seen one work. Looking at a 520 20' pull type Deere. Will it work? Do we need the high speed rotor? Got a lot of acres to get over. How fast can we travle with a stalk chopper like this? This 15' mower will take forever. We could use this on cotton stalks? Thanks for the advice.
