WI
Well I will be applying this at V1-V3 just before bloom, this should prevent the plant from aborting blooms unless its badly stressed. Buffered nitrogen is just a straight nitrogen product that has a buffer built in so it does not burn the plant. I cant remember what they call it as we ordered a semi-load for the neighbor and I. I would have to look and see. The main reason I am putting nitrogen on is because some of the plants are a little stressed and I want to give it more of a boost. Too much nitrogen will lead to a possibly tall plant and lodging. I know this because last year we tried a 5 acre field with alot of nitrogen and the beans were almost 4ft tall and 1/2 the field lodged.
