What are you trying to do with the fungicide? White mold control? Foliar disease control? Plant Health?

For white mold (which I assume you wont have this year in KS) you want to apply a good fungicide at flowering, something like Endura. For foliar disease control and plant health you will want to wait till R3, it is well worth the extra trip.

Dont get caught up in curative vs preventative fungicides. If you are already seeing lesions on the leaves there is absolutely nothing that will "cure" it. The signs of disease that the so called curative products will control will be invisible to the naked eye anyway.
