Subject: flooded farm

south west Iowa
has anyone had experence with farming after a flood? I am north of Council Bluffs Ia on the Mo River bottoms, water 4 foot deep on most of farm, damns will not slow down flow until end of Aug. at the soonest. I am hoping for no sand deposits or new river channels on the farm. Maybe try to plant cover crop this fall?
Water 2 foot deep in shop, basement has water 4 foot deep, but not on floor of house yet.
rented a house in town to live in, have to go to daughter's house to get on internet.
We got all of the crops out of the bins, Machinery to high ground and house cleaned out, now have to sit and wait to see what we have to go back to.
TIA
Bob
