If he was selling pelletized gypsum, it's way overpriced on a per ton basis compared to FGD gypsum you'd get as a by product from a power plant. We can get FGD gypsum for around $20/ton delivered in my part of the world. A very cheap source of sulfur and calcium. It might be worth checking around, but pelletized may be your only option. I'm a firm believer in the product on tight clays or gumbo type soils. However, we're spreading it on normal soils just for the sulfur.
