Aberdeen MS | Not sure on 08 Paul, but a 20 mile drive for you can guarantee you 8.19 cash on 08 beans right now this morning. Kind of difficult to sit on one's hands a year out for that kind of money.
Might just have to watch the market for a day or two.... see if we get another nickel or dime into it and pull the trigger on 500 bu..... "just cause".
Last fall when I could lock in $3 corn and $6.5 beans .... I jumped at the change to get a start. Only problem was I jumped too high.... and locked in too much....LOL. Didn't leave me enough room to do more as the market went up. New crop today is $8.02 cash on beans..... leaving around 60 - 75 bucks an acre on the table smarts a little bit.... but can't complain about $3 out of the field.... can't remember when or if that was ever possible in the past. | |
