NW Kansas
I swathed and baled probably 750-1000 acres afew years ago all for custom hire and I dont want that job again. It is hard to get a good job of swathing , seems to knock down more than you would like. Terribly hard on the baler ,the pick-up works hard and the side of the baler is hot to the touch fron it being so abrasive. The price would be high if you were to hire me again. I have corn that still looks good but if I'm faced with what you are mine will be in sileage, and I own all the haying equipment also. The choppers are made for that kind of work. p.s. the bales dont keep all that well, the mice are really hard on them if there is any grain.
