Subject: Re: Psychology of a Corn Plant - Dry Weather

Southeast Colorado
That is the advantage of milo over corn. Milo can be hurt and just sit there a while and when you finally get moisture it will start growing again. Corn never stops moving ahead physiologically so even though it may look like its not growing in size, it is still going through its life cycle. However, I have had corn severely stunted and only 3 to 4 foot tall put on a somewhat respectable ear when good moisture was recieved from that point on. I hate when corn is burning up and the tassels start to show. Game is over then.
