I don't spray the crop, I'm spraying the weeds, so usually under 4" and on label. Corn, I spray right after it's spiked through. Soybeans, I spray the first time right after it puts out it's first trifoliate, and the last time just before they close the rows (15") and hopefully before they start to bloom.
